The NATO Special Operations Forces – Military Simulation Unit (NSOF-Milsim) has taken a bold leap into the future of milsim gameplay by leveraging Bohemia Interactive’s powerful new Enfusion Engine to develop its own state-of-the-art virtual training facility: the NATO Special Operations Command & Training Centre (NSOCTC).

With the Enfusion Engine’s advanced rendering, physics, and terrain systems, NSOF has been able to push the boundaries of what’s possible in a military simulation environment. The result is a highly immersive and meticulously detailed complex that elevates both realism and functionality for members of the unit.

A Look Inside NSOCTC

At the heart of NSOCTC lies a fully custom-built headquarters (HQ) facility, complete with operational team rooms. Each team room is outfitted with personalized gear cages, giving operators a realistic sense of ownership and identity within the unit. These rooms are not just decorative—they serve as functional hubs for team briefings, loadout prep, and mission planning.

Adjacent to the HQ is a sophisticated indoor CQB (Close Quarters Battle) training facility, designed to replicate a wide range of tactical scenarios. The layout includes movable walls, lighting controls, and observer rooms—providing instructors the tools they need to evaluate and fine-tune performance in real-time.

Another standout feature is the indoor diving pool, reaching depths of up to 35 meters, which serves as a dynamic training environment for combat diving, underwater navigation, and equipment handling under pressure.

Thanks to the modularity and flexibility of the Enfusion Engine, NSOF’s development team was able to build the entire NSOCTC from the ground up, ensuring every asset and detail aligns with the unit’s operational philosophy.
